I was honored today to photograph the wedding of David and Julie. It was so inspiring to see a couple that is truly meant to be together. The stone in her ring is from a promise ring that David bought her when they were just 16. Congratulations David and Julie, may your lives together be everything you ever hoped for.

The Browar Family

Happy New Year all! What better way to ring it in than the first shoot of the new year! The Browar's are good family friends of ours and they asked me to do their family portraits. This was a fast, fun shoot, with a beautiful family. There were quite a few moments that I was laughing so hard I could barely take any pictures. Thank you guys for making this such a fun shoot!

Diesel

You know it was a successful shoot when you drive home smelling like dog food with grass stains on your jeans! Photographing Diesel was such a blast! Diesel is a one year old boxer whose owners got him from a truck stop, hence his awesome name. At first he was very hyper and excited to see me, but after a few minutes he calmed down and I got so many awesome shots! Here are a few of my favorites.

My mothers friend Beverly recently contacted me about getting a portrait done of her and her husband. After finding time in my crazy schedule, we set up to do the shoot. It was a simple, relaxed shoot in their lovely home. I got in some practice with my studio lights, and got to know them a little better. Thank you both for allowing me to do your portraits!

Kitty and Bunny

I have just met two of the most well behaved dogs on the planet! Kitty and Bunny's mom contacted me about doing some Christmas photos for their yearly Christmas card. When she told me both her girls were young lab mixes I braced myself. Having grown up in a household with labs, I instantly thought of our happy rambunctious young dogs. When I got to the shoot, they totally blew me out of the water! Mom had the idea to put them in a cute decorated box in front of the tree, and Kitty stayed in the box the whole time! Bunny patiently laid down in front of the box, and even almost fell asleep! All of this with only 6 weeks of puppy classes! Absolutely incredible!

Santa Paws

Another Santa shoot? You may be asking yourself, why yes indeed! A local feed store wanted me to come shoot portraits for them this weekend. So many dogs! There were people lined up out the door. I graciously donated all of the proceeds to a local cat rescue, tis the season! That is the first time I have ever had to photograph more than two dogs at a time, the record for the day was five! Now for the Christmas cheer, here are some images from the day.

Merry Christmas in November! I was asked to photograph pet portraits with Santa at a local groomers, and it was quite the experince! Dogs of all shapes and sizes, a couple cats, and the cutest little girl I have ever seen. Here are some of my faves from the day.

I had an amazing time photographing Johnny and Arciella's wedding. They are a beautiful young couple, and you only have to look at them to know how truly in love they are. Despite the cake falling, and the packed reception room, I couldn't have asked for a better first solo wedding. Thanks Johnny and Arciella!

The Murray Boys

Today I photographed the Murray twins again. These boys were my first baby shoot about a year ago, and I was ecstatic when mom came to me for their next shoot! We had a fun time playing with rocks and shovels, and got some really cute shots. I am already looking forward to their shoot next October!

I had the amazing opportunity to photograph baby Jozef last week. I took so many photos of his precious little toes! He cooperated rather well, and mom and I eventually worked out a nice photo taking rhythm. I am also designing the birth announcements, which I will post a preview of later.

I had the absolute pleasure of working with a little doxy named Freddie this week. He has the heart of a warrior, and the mind of a much bigger dog! His mom had so much trouble trying to pick out her pictures for prints, so we came up with an 11x14 collage print instead.

Hitch and Murray

Hitch and Murray were two of the cutest little guys I have had a chance to work with! Their mom and dad are in the military, and were being shipped off in just a few days. They were heartbroken that they couldn't take their babies with them, and wanted something to remember them by while they were away. I had a blast doing this shoot, I loved their personalities, and their special bond with their owners.

I was asked to do a special photo shoot with Sonny, the local feed store dog. Sonny's mom was away on vacation and a close friend wanted to surprise her with a portrait of her beloved dog. This handsome boy was a great doggy model posing for almost every picture.

I got to shoot with the most amazing rottweiler today! Anyone who has a bias or prejudice against rottweilers, I dare you to meet Pearl and not fall in love! The January Ranch

I visited the January Ranch in beautiful Sanger, California a few days ago, and I did not want to leave! This place was heaven on earth for horse lovers. I spent hours out in the pasture taking pictures of all the horses and beautiful scenery. The owners were two of the nicest people anyone could ever meet, and made my trip so nice. Spring Break in Tahoe!

I just got back from my spring break vacation in Tahoe! I had a blast taking pictures of my nephews, my brothers old T-bird, the desert, and learning how to snowboard! Here are a few of my favorite shots from the whole vacation:

My adorable nephews Tristen and Lliam. I had the best time chasing these twoaround in the freezing cold back yard. Not an easy task when they want to se every picture you just took! These were my three FAVORITE pictures that I got of them.

Woohoo! On top of the world! Matt and I out in the desert, check out those clouds!

I was driving out in the desert behind my brothers house with Matt after having just been out on a fairly lengthy photo expedition when I saw this amazing scene unfold before my eyes. Poor Matt had to keep stopping the truck every 50 feet so I could take another picture! I think it was worth it though.

This was an awesome old car, and the perfect spot ever to take car photos!

The Lewis Ranch

I had the wonderful opportunity Sunday the 15th, to visit Lewis Ranch in beautiful Woodlake, California. There were so many gorgeous horses there it was hard to pay attention to taking pictures! My boyfriend just bought me the best gift ever! A brand new Pentax K20D! There are so many new features that I have to get used to, and it has 14.6 Megapixels! I am so excited to start taking pictures with it! Thanks babe!

Introducing Hank!

This adorable little bundle of ears and loose floppy skin is Hank, Matt's new 11 week old basset hound puppy. He is a rowdy, rambunctious, and very clumsy puppy. He is always stepping on his ears! He loves to play with his "Auntie Panda", my sisters australian shepherd lab mix, and feels right at home with all the great danes when he comes to visit. Matt couldn't be happier, and I'm finally getting some exercise! Chasing a puppy around with a camera is not an easy task!
